Skills Development & Sustainable Livelihoods

When Skills Grow, So Does Well-being.

Our Services
Every young person and woman holds untapped potential — and when equipped with the right skills and support, they not only earn a living, but also build healthier, more stable lives. This program strengthens economic resilience through hands-on training, entrepreneurship, and market access — laying the foundation for independence, dignity, and well-being. From digital skills and tailoring to small business management and product development, participants gain tools that translate into income, confidence, and self-reliance. As women and youth begin to earn, they’re better able to afford healthcare, nutritious food, menstrual supplies, and education — improving life across entire households. We don’t just teach skills — we help people rewrite their futures with health, opportunity, and purpose at the center.
Why Skills and Livelihoods Matter
In Uganda, youth unemployment stands at over 80% for those entering the job market — with young women hit the hardest due to limited access to resources, restrictive gender norms, and unpaid care work. Many young women are not just seeking jobs — they are sustaining entire households. When a young woman gains a skill, it changes more than just her income. It improves her family’s nutrition, strengthens access to education, and enables better health decisions. Economic empowerment is a foundation for autonomy — and a catalyst for transformation across all areas of life. That’s why we don’t just focus on training — we focus on equipping young people, especially women, with the tools to thrive and lead.

Nakato Maria

As a single mother of three, I used to sell raw cassava and barely made enough. After learning how to process and package my products, I can now earn more, take my children to school, and care for them when they fall sick. I finally feel in control of our future
