Sexual & Reproductive Health & Gender Justice (SRHR)

Empowering Bodies. Raising Voices. Protecting Choices.

Our Services

Sexual and reproductive health is not a privilege — it’s a right. This program equips young people, especially girls and young women, with the knowledge, safety, and autonomy to make informed decisions about their bodies, relationships, and futures — free from stigma, violence, or fear. From addressing teenage pregnancy to supporting young mothers and challenging harmful gender norms, we work with communities to foster dignity, inclusion, and lasting change — for everyone.
Why SRHR & Gender Justice Matter
In Uganda, thousands of girls drop out of school each year due to teenage pregnancy. Young people often face stigma, silence, or shame when seeking SRHR information or services. Many don't know where to turn — or are afraid to ask. Harmful norms and lack of youth-friendly services continue to strip individuals, especially girls, of their right to informed choices and safe care. Our work is grounded in a simple belief: when people have access to accurate information, non-judgmental support, and safe spaces — they thrive. And when men and boys are part of the conversation, transformation becomes community-wide.

What We Do

  • Deliver comprehensive sexuality education in schools and community spaces
  • Facilitate youth-friendly SRHR services, referrals, and counseling
  • Support survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) through care, safe spaces, and referrals
  • Engage men and boys in conversations on positive masculinity and respectful relationships
  • Lead community dialogues on gender equality, consent, and rights

Voices from the Field

Amina, 17, Girl Participant & SRHR Advocate

I used to believe that talking about your body meant you were spoilt — that’s what I was told. But through this program, I learned that knowing your rights and protecting your body is strength, not shame. Now I help other girls like me see the truth.
